Sunday Thoughts
Book recs, gut health, and a card pull
Hi ,
How are you doing? Really.
I feel that lately I’ve been really looking at my life and seeing what truly matters, and who truly matters as well.
Perhaps I’m still in Lala land from our trip, but I do feel my outlook on life has changed. The things that frustrated me before, just don’t bother me as much. If I can’t control it, I can at least control how I respond. I know it’s sometimes easier said than done, but it's a good practice to have, even if it only works some of the time.
I know life in general feels completely out of control for many of us, and the best we can do is focus on what we can control. Our actions, responses, how we show up in the world, how we treat others…the list goes on. Be kind, its rough out there.
This week, I have a couple of recs for ya! One is kind random, and that is the probiotic I’m taking. I used to take this awhile ago but stopped for whatever reason. Recently I went back to it after hearing about it on a podcast and boy is my gut happy. For most of my life I struggled with digestive issues and thought I would be bloated forever. But since getting back on this amazing probiotic, things have been going pretty well. 😆 They even have a pet probiotic which is pretty neat. Now I’m not cool enough yet to have a discount link with them or anything, but trust me when I say, this stuff works.

Next, I wanted to share what I’ve been reading lately. I’ve read 4 books over the last month, and this is unheard of for me. Who else is a slow a$$ reader? But with time off for and traveling, I knocked out some pages.
This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune
Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry
*All great quick beach reads if you are into the romance kinda thing. After these, I needed a change of pace so I picked up this book:

I could not put this book down. It was SO good. It is definitely dark so do your research before picking it up, but if you are into mysteries and books that tug at your heartstrings, this is it. I cried at the end. Hello Cancer season. 🥹
Now, I’m reading this book about my beloved moon.

It’s not my favorite spiritual book but it does have some good info that I will use as a reference. As with most things, I take what resonates and leave the rest.
And finally, a card for your week ahead.

This card is reminding us that we are one with the Earth and to take time to honor her. Perhaps plant a garden, clean up trash on your street, donate to an environmental cause you care about, or do a ritual just for the mother. This is a reminder that all living things have a beautiful spirit and they are just waiting for you to interact with them. When is the last time you hugged a tree?
Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead!
PS
I’ll be adjusting my prices for Akashic readings and energy healings soon-so keep an eye out. 😉
Much love,
