Ciao from Italia
Coming to you from the hills of Tuscany
Buongiorno ,
Currently I am enjoying this gorgeous view from our Airbnb in Tuscany. It is a literal dream. I am surrounded by luscious green hills, blooming flowers, buzzing bees, and vibrant energy. Our host just reminded me not to work too hard, but I promised myself I’d still stick to the weekly newsletter so I’ll make this short and sweet. ;)

Our honeymoon started with a couple of days in London, one of my favorite cities. We were able to make our meeting time at the Westminster Abbey, and see my favorite clock of all time. We then jetted off to our first stop in Italy, Rome, where we explored the ancient sites for a couple of days. Averaging about 15,000 steps a day, we definitely worked up an appetite.

And now we are on our second stop in Italy, Florence! So far we’ve made pasta, explored the gorgeous sites, had a photoshoot, and visited the famous Uffizi and (Galleria degli Uffizi) and Acccademia Galleries (Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze).
Fun fact: I took 8 years of Italian in middle and high school so I can speak VERY broken Italian…the basics. It’s been awhile but I’ve been challenging myself try to engage is some conversations in Italian, even if it’s just sentence or two.

The best cannolo in the world. From a place called La Scalinata in Rome.

Pasta making!
If anyone would like a guide of recommendations for places we’ve visited. I’m considering making a highlight on my Instagram strictly for travel, since it’s one of my passions. Let me know if either of these would interest you.
One last thing I’ll share for today is how much this trip is teaching me about surrendering. Things have gone wrong or not quite as expected, and while frustrating at first I know cannot control it. I just had to let things unfold as is, and enjoy the ride. A few bumps along the way, often make for a story later on.
Thanks so much for hanging out with me and I hope you all have an amazing week!
Just a reminder, my books are open for the second part of June, so if you’d like a reading or healing, let me know. They’ll be infused with the beautiful energies of Italia.
Much love,
Erica Desiree
